Violence Response
Many organizations are in the position to
help support the community in the event of a large scale act of violence (i.e.
Columbine, Virginia Tech), or an act of violence against an individual that
touches the entire community (i.e. publicized sexual assault, hate crime), but
have not developed a plan to do so when an even occurs. These programs are
designed to help organizations in their community identify their assets and
liabilities and put a plan in place so that if a crisis occurs the organization
will be able to support the community that it serves. These programs are
usually designed for schools or religious organizations.
In addition to helping your organization
respond to acts of violence, the PVPI can train members of your organization to
use their skills and experiences to respond effectively to any crisis in the
community. To view a sample Crisis Response program click
