About the Pacific Violence Prevention Institute

Located in Bellingham, WA, the Pacific Violence Prevention Institute was founded in 2007 by the founders of Northwest Violence Prevention Solutions, Inc. (NVPS).  While two separate and distinct companies, the sole mission of both organizations is to create safer and stronger communities by preventing and responding effectively to acts of violence.  While NVPS was formed as a for-profit endeavor, it became apparent that many organizations desperately needed violence prevention services but were unable to pay for them.  The Pacific Violence Prevention Institute was founded to meet this need, and through generous donations and grant funding is able to provide these services free of charge to organizations and individuals in need. 

The PVPI uses proprietary violence prevention and prejudice reduction models that have been shown to be highly effective in creating safer schools and other organizations.
